Whatever you decide to call it, this mega-sale offers plenty of Wirecutter picks at substantial discounts ahead of Black Friday and the holiday shopping season. If you’re on the hunt for deals that will deliver cheap(ish) thrills on great products, here are the things we recommend that’ll cost you less than a C-note.

Other things to know: Screen is 7 inches. Lacks a built-in camera. Matches the lowest price we've seen for a single Nest hub.

What we like: Fun for kids. A good alternative to sweets. Makes a festive holiday display when finished.
